The Scott Monument is a Victorian Gothic Monument to Scottish author Sir Walter Scott. It stands in Princes Street Gardens opposite Jenners department store. The tower is 200 feet 6 inches (61.1 m) high, and has a series of viewing decks reached by a series of narrow spiral staircases giving panoramic views of central Edinburgh and its surroundings. The highest viewing deck is reached by a total of 287 steps.

The unique and fabulous Falkirk Wheel, an iconic fusion of industrial art and engineering innovation, is the world's first and only rotating boat lift. It links two canals with water levels 115 ft apart, a feat traditionally requiring 11 locks

The Forth Road Bridge, Queensferry during the winter of 2004. This was taken from the north side of the river, looking over towards the Pentland Hills. The stormy skies start to break and show a calmer scene.

This was taken during a trip to celebrate a family members birthday in November 2005, and it turned out to be like a summer vacation with temperatures in the high 70's!
